Hirwai Green Finger Award - 2010
Hirwai in collaboration with Raman Science Centre, Nagpur, introduced Green Finger Award in 2007. The purpose of the activity is to create awareness about the environment amongst school children and make them proactive towards the cause. The focus was school children because we strongly believe that preparing children at this tender age is the best way of ensuring dedicated support for the cause in the long run. This year again Hirwai takes pride to announce Green Finger Award.

Hirwai received an overwhelming response from all the schools, children, teachers and parents. More than 300 students participated in the event.. It was a grand successful event last year and we are thankful for the response and support given by all the schools and teachers.

This year to make the event a bigger success, we intent to accommodate more schools and students participating. in the competition. To achieve this, this year we try to reach all the Government run schools in Nagpur.

HIRWAI GREEN SCHOOL AWARD - 2010
The Green School Award is a rotating trophy. This prestigious trophy would be given to the school that is taking leading
initiatives in inculcating their children with empathy for nature and following it up with such activity that would help in its
conservation and nurturing. These initiatives should proactively involve the students in carrying out the actual work rather
than concentrating only on academic inputs on environment. Revolving trophy ‘Green School Award’ would be awarded to
the school for carrying out excellent overall work for the Green cause with student’s participation.
